About the project

This bespoke timber frame new dwelling was constructed using prefabricated structural insulated panels. The SIP panels, along with the intermediate floor and roof were delivered to site and installed within four weeks, considerably speeding up the construction process. In addition to this, they create an extremely well insulated and airtight property. This resulted in an EPC rating of A.

The walls are cladded in a mixture of fibre cement weatherboard and K-Rend silicone through coloured render, with Aluminium windows and doors. The roof is covered in Spanish slates and single ply membrane to the flat roof areas. The property also takes advantage of renewable energy sources, with an air source heat pump, solar panels, battery storage and ev car charging point.
